Iron Goat produces and sells a small self-fueled mower that produces pelleted cubed products from hay and other grassy crops at a lower cost than conventional haying methods. The pellets are biomass fuel which can be used for heating or generating power. The machine runs on the pellets it creates. They currently sell their mower to dairy, beef, and other livestock producers who need pellet fuel and livestock fodder. Future plans include micro-grid power generation in communities without establish power utilities, and licensing the pellet fuel system technology for uses in vehicles, heating, and plant power. The firm is based in Clifton, Virginia, and is led by Jason Force.
