Black Oak Capital Partners

Black Oak Capital Partners received 2nd prize in the 2009 William James Foundation Sustainable Business Plan Competition and and finished 1st in that’s Richard Heinberg Sustainability Prizes, sponsored by the Foundation for a Sustainable Future. They provided a return on investment through acquiring agricultural land, timberlands and rural real estate for conservation. Then produce and sell environmental credits gained from rehabilitating these properties. The organization is no longer running, although the founder is working for a similar organization.
