Attention DC-Area Entrepreneurs, Mentors, and Investors Our next Investor Fishbowl will be June 20, 2016, in Rockville, MD. It is an opportunity for entrepreneurs behind pre-selected social enterprises to pitch in front of real investors who share their honest reactions and concerns with one another – in front of the entrepreneurs and the audience. All participants get an incredible behind-the-scenes peek into the mind of an experienced investor. We’ll hear pitches from the following companies: Kent Biodiesel. They recycle used cooking oil from restaurants and hotels into cleaner burning BioDIESEL fuel and distributes the fuel to local customers. Locals, LLC. A precision based farming company that grows organic produce using ecologically sustainable methods while maximizing our growing capabilities. Manta Biofuel. They produce renewable algal crude oil that is cost competitive with traditional crude oil. Each presenter will have an opportunity to give a 5-10 minute pitch in front of investors and the audience, followed by approximately 30-45 minutes of Q&A. After that, the investors will discuss the presentation as though the entrepreneur is not in the room, covering topics such as what they linked or didn’t like, what further information would they want to see, and the all-important question of whether or not they would invest in the company. When: June 20th, 12pm – 5pm. Where: Montgomery County Red Brick Courthouse at 29 Courthouse Square. Rockville, Maryland This event is free to the public. |
