SMEFunds – GosolarAfrica announced its ambitious Solar PV Mini Grid Business and Residential Solutions to Generating Additional 3,000MW of Electricity by 2017 while addressing the General Assembly during the Sustainable Energy for All Forum (SE4ALL) in New York. Joining the SE4ALL aims to ensure universal energy access to modern energy services, double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency and double the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix by 2030.
Special Representative of the Secretary-General & CEO Kandeh K. Yumkella said that this year’s SE4ALL focus, “Financing Sustainable Energy for All,” brings together world leaders including community practitioners, funding partners, and governmental ministers. SMEFunds, the first HIIO partner on Bioenergy and Energy Access have reached over 500,000 households with Solar Home System and Pay-As You Go Electricity for Businesses and Low income Households while helping more women experience great health and economic benefits of Biofuel Gel Clean Cook Stoves for the past 4-Years.
